IP-1 LiftPac®

The PacTec Type IP-1 LiftPac® LLW flexible containment packaging comes in varying sizes and safe working loads (SWL) from 1 cubic meter and 1,500 kgs, and up to 6.78 cubic meters and 10,890 kgs. These packages can be designed with various layers to provide the fit-for-purpose solution for packaging any type of LSA-I and SCO-I LLW, soils, rubble, demolition debris and some metal waste. The Type IP-1 LiftPac® can also be provided as an overpack design – specifically to suit large items of irregular size or shape. This ensures compliance with the IAEA transport regulations for the safety transport of radioactive material, SSR-6.

All PacTec Type IP-1 LiftPacs® can also be provided with underpinning Package Design Safety Report (PDSR) documentation, i.e. Certificate of Approval, Design Safety Report, Technical Instructions and Operator Instructions and are supplied with an approved Certificate of Conformance (COC). All PacTec packages are labeled with individual serial numbers that provides the capability for full traceability of materials and manufacturing, again making PacTec flexible packaging unique worldwide.

A number of these IP-1 bags were also previously tested and certified under ADR and UN certification for other hazardous wastes such as asbestos.
