The PacTec Type IP-2 LiftPac^® LLW flexible containment package is the only flexible packaging solution that is designed, tested, and certified to Type IP-2 for soil, sand, gravel and construction debris in the world. PacTec offers a range of Type IP-2 packages of varying sizes and safe working loads (SWL) from 1 cubic meter and 1,500 kgs, and up to 6.78 cubic meters and 10,890 kgs. The Type IP-2 LiftPac^® provides a fit-for-purpose solution for packaging LSA-II and SCO-II LLW, ensuring compliance with the requirements for Type IP-2 packaging, under IAEA, SSR-6, Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material.

All PacTec Type IP-2 LiftPacs^® can also be provided with underpinning Package Design Safety Report (PDSR) documentation, i.e. Certificate of Approval, Design Safety Report, Technical Instructions and Operator Instructions and are supplied with an approved Certificate of Conformance (COC). All PacTec packages are labeled with individual serial numbers that provides the capability for full traceability of materials and manufacturing, again making PacTec flexible packaging unique worldwide.

A number of these IP-2 bags were also previously tested and certified under ADR and UN certification for other hazardous wastes such as asbestos.
